SUNDAY’S WORD:”Right Into God’s Presence”

Hebrews 10:22-25

“Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”(Psalm 51:7, NLT)(Zentangle(R)-inspired illustration by Jenn Webster)

Have you ever seen those laundry detergent commercials over the years in which they would get your clothes washed and clean from all those stains? Well, believe me, I have seen those kinds of classic commercials on either a DVD compilation or on YouTube, and if anything they say about the fact that your clothes would be clean by any kind of detergent turns out to be true, then I guess that would be OK…
We all want to be clean, don’t we? Well, we could bathe ourselves with soap and water as well as wash our face and then we would be clean all over, but what about the inside of ourselves? Are THEY clean all over? Naturally, we simply just cannot clean our inner souls with soap and water, because naturally, it cannot be done; Yes, our insides are just as well filthy, filled with all kinds of things that have been caused by a certain despicable thing called sin-All kinds of sin such as greed, lust, gluttony, envy, vanity, jealousy, among others…And those sins in which they pollute our inner souls give birth to such ungodly acts as pornography, gambling, drugs, alcohol, adultery, and even hatred for someone because of their race, creed, or religion.

Yes, we are trapped in our sins, becoming slaves to it; And of course, perhaps you are trapped by your own sins, while becoming a slave to it as well. And then, you began to suddenly realize that you have this need to be free, free from the bondage of your very own sins; Well, I have very GOOD NEWS for you: God loves you so very much, despite the fact that you have been trapped in your sins, that He has a most marvelous plan to set you so very free from your sins and to return yourself back to Him: It is found in His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, our most blessed Savior. He took the most ultimate punishment by dying on the cross, shedding His blood so that the inside of ourselves, our very own souls, would be clean from the dirt of our sins, and then had been raised from the dead by our Heavenly Father three days later, defeating death so that each and every one of us could very well have the most blessed gift of life eternal.
In the 10th chapter of Hebrews verses 22-25(NLT), here is how we should trust our Lord God after we have given our hearts to Him through the precious blood of Jesus Christ: “…let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.”

Did any of you catch that final verse? The day of the return of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ is drawing near, and we, as Christians, must encourage one another as well as motivate each other to love and good works, and that includes sharing His most blessed Gospel with those who have yet to hear of the salvation that has been won for them by the precious blood of Christ. But now, for those of you who are still not listening to the Gospel yet, isn’t it about time that you start listening right now? Our Lord God loves you so much, in fact, so very much, that He showed His love for every one of us by sending His one and only Son to become like us, but never sinned; And then He took our place for all of us by taking a criminal’s place on the cross by dying on the cross at a place called Calvary, suffering, bleeding, and then dying, so that the most ultimate price could be paid for our sins; Then, Jesus Christ had defeated death when His Father raised Him from the dead on the third day.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17, NLT)

So with that, my dearest friends, are you ready to be free from the bondage of sin, and receive the most blessed salvation of all because of the precious blood of Jesus Christ? Then I ask you to please pray this prayer with me: “O Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. I believe that You have died on the cross for my sins, and have been risen from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have eternal life. I urgently ask that You please come into my heart, and please let me follow You always as my personal Savior. Thank You so very much for making the most ultimate sacrifice of Yourself for all time to save me. In your most holy & blessed name. Amen.”
If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would like to welcome YOU into God’s Great, Big Family! And now that you are a child of God through His Son Christ Jesus, the very next thing that you need to do would be to read the Holy Bible, God’s most blessed Word, each and every day of your life, and then you must go to a good, Christian church every Sunday of your life, so that you could worship, praise, and to thank our Heavenly Father for what His Son has done to save you and me. I very much hope and pray that you make this most blessed decision of following Jesus Christ today. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this today; Until the very next time, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.
