2 Peter 1:3-8, 10-11
What does one need for living a very good life for us to grow? Of course, when it comes to learning how to live a much better life, we could learn how to clean, cook, sew, and even manage our money well; And if we learn how to enter the workforce in the right manner, we all have to have very good learning on how we all should do it right, and by doing so, then we would have enough skills to enter work, so that we would have enough to move into a good home or apartment and to provide for our families or just ourselves…
And now, suppose you would like to learn how to become a follower of Christ, the One whom His Father sent to pay the ultimate price for our sins? That seems very simple enough-If you have sinned in the past, and are still sinning in the present, and then you needed to find some way out of this prison of your sins, then the answer is very well easy: Repent of your sins by getting right down on your knees and ask our Lord God that you have sinned, and to forgive you of your sins because of the precious blood that Christ Jesus has shed for you. With such a very easy task as that, you will certainly be saved.
Why don’t we delve further into learning how to live well for God through Jesus by heading straight into the Holy Bible, by going into the very first chapter of 2 Peter vs 3-8(NLT): “By His divine power, God has given everything we need for living a godly life. We have recieved all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
But wait, there is more-In vs 10-11(NLT), Peter also addressed this: “So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen…Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” So you see, once you give your hearts to Jesus Christ and begin that glorious relationship with our Lord God, the He will certainly give you everything that you will ever need to help you learn how to live a godly life. Pehaps you yourselves who have just begun to read this post right now have since been going through every trial in your lives right now, trials such as family conflict, breakup, job loss; And then you have tried every single vice imaginable to help ease any kind of pain that you have been going through at this very moment, vices such as drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling…Well, let me tell you something right here and now: Although these vices may make you feel better temporarily, in the end, not only do they give your family even more misery and pain, but you yourself will also add as more pain as before!
No, my dearest friends, vices are definitely NOT the way out of true happiness; The only way, the only good, joyful, and BLESSED way that you can have real, true happiness is by the cross of salvation, the salvation that has been won for you by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has been sent by our Heavenly Father to earth to be born from the womb of a young virgin named Mary, to be grown into adulthood to become the most greatest Preacher and Teacher that mankind has ever known…And then He has done something extravagantly marvelous for you and for me, so that all could be saved; Christ Jesus allowed Himself to be beaten, whipped, forced to carry, and then be nailed to, suffering, bleeding, and then dying on the cross at a place called Calvary. And then, three days later, our Lord God raised His only Son from the dead, defeating death as He went out of that cold, dark tomb, so that each and every one of us could very well have life eternal.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17, NLT)
My friends in the internet audience, are you ready to give up on your past lives of sin, and to be given the most wonderfully blessed gift of all, the gift of salvation and eternal life, which has been won for you because of the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, by repenting of your sins and by giving your very own hearts to Him? Then I ask that you please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. I believe that You have died on the cross for my sins, and have been risen from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have eternal life. I urgently ask that You please come into my heart, and please let me follow You always as my personal Savior. Thank You so very much for making the most ultimate sacrifice of Yourself for all time to save me. In Your most holy & blessed name, I pray. Amen.”
If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would like to welcome YOU into God’s Great, Big Family! And now that your very own heart has been given to Jesus, the very next thing that you need to do would be to read the Holy Bible, God’s most blessed Word, each and every day of your life, and then you must go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday of your life, so that you could worship, praise, and thank our Heavenly Father for what His Son has done to save you and me. I very much hope and pray that you make this most blessed decision of following Jesus Christ today, for always. I would very much like to thank every one of you for taking the time to read today; Until the very next time, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
